Pranay commenced his professional odyssey with a solid educational foundation in Accountancy (CA) and Law (LLB). Over the years, he has played pivotal roles in various renowned organizations, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
Presently, he holds the position of Founder Chairman at Praron Consultancy (India) Pvt. Ltd., a distinguished consulting organization deeply entrenched in the real estate sector. Prior to this, he served as the Founder Chairman of Knight Frank in India, where he spearheaded the establishment of the joint venture with Knight Frank UK in 1995, a milestone achievement in international property consulting.
His rich career includes significant tenures as the Executive Director of Raychem in India, with California-based Fortune 500 company roots, and engagements with several Tata Group companies, such as Tata Textiles, TCS, and Tata Sons, spanning over 15 years. Notably, he also assumed the role of Managing Director at GESCO Corporation Ltd., formed upon the demerger of The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd.
Pranay has been acknowledged with a “Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contribution to the Real Estate Sector” by ABP TV (Star TV) in Mumbai, India—an honor that reflects his unparalleled commitment and impact on the industry.
He has served as a Member on the Management Board of IMC and as an Independent Director on the Boards of various listed companies, including Godrej Properties Ltd., Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals Ltd., and Onward Technologies Ltd.
Currently, Pranay serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Real Estate Funds at Motilal Oswal Real Estate Advisors II Pvt. Ltd. (MORE). He is also a distinguished member of the Advisory Board for Real Estate Fund at Dalmia Nisus Finance Investment Managers LLP.
A respected figure in the industry, Pranay actively participates as a jury member for industry awards and contributes to advisory panels related to industry awards, rating, and media.
He was amongst the first in India to be honored with the Fellowship of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and currently serves on the World Governing Council of RICS—a testament to his standing as a leading professional in the global real estate community.
